A panel bar is a steel edging used to provide rigidity to the top edge of frameless panels, as well as for safety purposes. It is manufactured from sheet metal with a thickness of 1.5 to 2 mm, depending on the panel width.
The kick plate, on the other hand, consists of bars made from 1.5–2 mm thick bent sheet metal, which are fitted to the lower part of the panels and attached to the posts for safety purposes.
